A new twist to the salsa by roasting the tomatoes adds an extra flavour to this dish. At one side, roasting intensifies the flavour with a touch of smokiness. The combination of jalepano, onion, tomato and garlic is good and tastes great with tortilla chips. Get ready to prepare the Roasted Tomato Salsa with recipe given as follows.

Ingredients

    • 1 pound halved roma Tomatoes
    • 1 tsp Kosher Salt
    • 1 jalapeño Pepper
    • 2 cloves Garlic
    • 1/2 peeled and quartered white Onion
    • 1/3 cup chopped Cilantro
    • 2 tsp Lime juice
    • Sugar to taste

How to make Roasted Tomato Salsa

Step 1: In a baking sheet, place tomatoes with cut side up and sprinkle the salt.
Step 2: Add jalapeño, garlic, and onion to the baking sheet and cook in a preheated broiler until tomatoes have slightly blackened. Set aside.
Step 3: Deseed the jalapeño and peel garlic, then process all the cooked ingerdients until finely chopped.
Step 4: Pour the chopped mixture in a bowl, then stir in cilantro and lime juice.
Step 5: Season with salt and sugar to taste, then keep it in a refrigerator for 30 minutes before serving.
