Ingredients
- 1 cup self rising Cornmeal
- 1/2 cup All Purpose Flour1 tsp Sugar
- 1 tsp Baking Powder
- 1 Egg, Lightly Beaten
- 1 cup Buttermilk
- 1 Onion, Finely Chopped
- Hot Pepper Sauce (optional)
- Green Onion(optional)
- Oil to deep fry
- Salt to taste
Step
1: Take a large Bowl, mix cornmeal, flour, baking powder, sugar and
salt together and butter milk ,egg and onion to make a smooth batter, add any
optional ingredients if desired such as green onion, pepper sauce etc
Step 2: Heat oil in a pan for frying. Drop
rounded teaspoonfuls of batter slowly in hot oil, and fry until golden brown
