If you want to make instant and light breakfast for your kids, here is the humble solution. Upma only needs white bread, onion and tomatoes as a main ingredients. Recipe as below:

Serving: 2-3 Person
Preparation Time: 10-15 Mins
Cooking Time: 15 Mins

Ingredients
  • 8-10 White Bread Slices
  • 1 small Onion, Thinely Chopped
  • 1 small Tomato, Seedless and Chopped
  • 1-2 Green Chili, Chopped
  • 1 pinch Asafoetida
  • 1/4 tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Red Chili Powder
  • 1 tsp Lime Juice
  • Few Curry Leaves, Washed
  • Oil for fry
  • Salt to taste
How to make Bread Upma

Step 1: Cut off the bread crust, break the bread slices into small pieces and make them aside

Step 2: Heat oil in a pan, drop asafoetida and mustard seeds, when it crackles add curry leaves onion, green chili and saute till softens

Serving: 4 Person
Preparation Time: 15-20 Mins
Cooking Time: 10 Mins

Ingredients
  • 2 cup Rice,Cooked
  • 1 cup Gram Flour
  • 1 Large Onion,Chopped
  • 1-2 Green Chillies ,Chopped
  • 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin Powder
  • 1/2  tsp Coriander Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Chaat Masala Powder
  • 1 Pinch Asafoetida
  • Few Coriander Leaves,Chopped
  • Water as required
  • Oil for fry
  • Salt to taste
How to make Chawal Ke Pakode

Step 1: Take a large bowl, mix gram flour,cooked rice,onion,green chillies, red chilli powder,cumin powder,coriander powder,chaat masala,asafoetida,coriander leaves and salt as per taste

  • 4 Hamburger buns
  • 175 gram Tuna chunks in olive oil
  • 2 Tomotoes (cut as rings)
  • 1 cup Lettuce (shredded)
  • 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese (shredded)
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 1 dash Chili powder
  • Salt and Black Pepper to taste

Step 1: Preheat the oven at 350 degrees
Step 2: Toast the hamburger buns
Step 3: Spread butter on them
Step 4: Drain almost half of the oil from tuna

  • 1/2 cup Chickpeas (boiled)
  • 2-3 Onions (finely chopped)

  • 1 cup Curd
  • 1 bunch Coriander leaves
  • 4 tablespoon Red Chilli powder
  • 1 tablespoon Turmeric powder
  • 2 tablespoon Cumin seed powder

  • 1 tablespoon Chat masala powder

Step 1: To make the dough, mix flour and maida in a bowl

Step 2: Add ajwain powder, cumin seed powder, red chilli powder and turmeric powder

Recipe of Onion rings

Servings : 2-3 Persons
Preparation Time: 15 Minutes
Cooking Time: 15 Minutes

Ingredients:
  • 2 Large Onions, Thickly Sliced
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 tbsp Cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp White Pepper Powder
  • 2 cups Breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
  • Oil for frying
  • Salt to taste

How to make Onion rings

 

Step 1: Separate sliced onion into rings

Step 2: In a medium bowl combine flour, white pepper powder, cornstarch, milk, baking powder, salt and make smooth batter

Ingredients :
  • ¾ cup Refined Flour
  • ½ tsp Dry Yeast
  • 2 tsp Sugar
  • ½  tbsp Sesame Seeds, Roasted
  • ½ tbsp Black Sesame Seeds(Optional)
  • 3-4 tbsp Coriander Seeds, Roasted and Crushed
  • ½ cup Water (Warm)
  • Water as required (for Dough)
  • 2 tsp Oil
  • Salt to taste

Step 1: Take a large bowl, add yeast and sugar with warm water. Set aside

Step 2: Take another bowl, sieve flour and salt in to bowl. Combined yeast mixture in to the bowl and knead smooth dough with required water. Cover it with a damp cloth for 30-40 minutes till dough doubles in size

 Hush Puppies Recipe

Preparation Time: 10 Mins
Cooking Time: 20 Mins

Ingredients
  • 1 cup self rising Cornmeal
  • 1/2 cup All Purpose  Flour1 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 Egg, Lightly Beaten
  • 1 cup Buttermilk
  • 1 Onion, Finely Chopped
  • Hot Pepper Sauce (optional)
  • Green Onion(optional)
  • Oil to deep fry
  • Salt to taste

Step 1: Take a large Bowl, mix cornmeal, flour, baking powder, sugar and salt together and butter milk ,egg and onion to make a smooth batter, add any optional ingredients if desired such as green onion, pepper sauce etc

Step 2: Heat oil in a pan for frying. Drop rounded teaspoonfuls of batter slowly in hot oil, and fry until golden brown around 4-5 mins.Turning the hush puppies during the cooking
