Ingredients
  • 1 cup Rice
  • 2 large chopped Tomatoes
  • 1 diced green Capsicum
  • 3 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1 chopped Green Chili
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 3 tsp Samber powder
  • 1&1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 cup chopped Coriander leaves
  • 2 cups of Water
How to make Tomato Rice

Step 1: Wash and soak the rice in water for 15 minutes, then drain the water and set aside.

Step 2: Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds to it.

Step 3: Add tomato, green chilli, turmeric powder, capsicum, samber powder, salt and coriander leaves to it.

Ingredients
  • 1/2 kg boiled and peeled baby Potatoes
  • 1 1/2 cup Basmati Rice, Washed and Soaked
  • 1 cup Green Chutney
  • 1-2 Bay Leaves
  • 1 Cinnamon Stick
  • 2 Black Cardamom
  • 3-4 Cloves
  • 3-4 Green Cardamom
  • 1 Medium Sized Onion, Chopped
  • 1 tsp Coriander Powder
  • 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • Salt to taste

Step 1: Heat the oil in a pan, saute bay leaf, cinnamon stick, cloves, black cardamom and green cardamom for a minute.

Step 2: Add onion and saute till turns to golden. Mix potatoes, green chutney, coriander powder, red chilli powder, garam masala and salt.

Step 3: Add rice and enough water to cook the rice, to the above mixture.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Basmati Rice ,Soaked and Drained
  • ¼ cup Green Gram ,Rinsed and drained
  • ½ cup Green Peas
  • 1 Medium Potato , Chopped
  • 1 Bunch Carrot , Chopped
  • 1 Medium Sized Onion ,Chopped
  • 1 Small Sized Tomato ,Chopped
  • 2 Green Chilli ,Chopped
  • ½ tsp Garlic Paste
  • 3-4 Black Pepper
  • 2-3 Cloves
  • 1 Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 1-2 Bay Leaf (Optional)
  • 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • ½ tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander Powder
  • ½ tsp Chaat Masala
  • 1 tsp Ghee or Butter
  • Water as required
  • Few Coriander Leaves for Garnishing
  • Oil for fry
  • Salt to taste

How to make Vegetable Khichdi

Step 1: Heat oil in a Pressure Cooker, add bay leaf, black pepper, cloves, cinnamon and cumin seeds to it when cumin seeds became crackled add garlic paste and onion with green chilli and fry till the onion become softens
 

Step 2: Combined all the vegetables as potato, tomato, green peas and carrot to onion mixture then add turmeric powder, red chilli powder coriander powder and chaat masala. Mix well

Chicken flavoured Mexican rice

Serving : 2-3 persons
Ingredients
  • 1 Cup long grain Rice, uncooked
  • ½  ounce Tomato sauce /puree
  • ½ tbsp Cumin
  • ½  tbsp garlic minced 
  • 1 can Chicken Broth/Vegetable Broth 
  • 3 tbsp Vegetable Oil
  • 3 tbsp finely chopped Cilantro
  • Salt as per taste
How to make Chicken flavoured Mexican rice

Step 1: Heat oil in a non stick pan with mediaum heat. Saute rice but gently stir until rice begins to get a light brown colour.

Step 2: Add Garlic, Salt and cumin to it and stir gently until the ice looks golden brown.
